ACCOMPANYING AREA

The support area will be in charge of accompanying the people who come to the COF and collaborating with the other areas.

How is the accompaniment in the COF “San Julián?

It is a process of unconditional acceptance based on empathy, acceptance and authenticity.

Accompaniment requires the willingness to be accompanied by the person who approaches and in the process this is the true protagonist. A logotherapy work is carried out in which an itinerary is followed, respecting rhythms, with a beginning and an end.

During this process, the person can reconstruct their history, know and recognize themselves, accept themselves and find tools to move forward independently.

Types of accompaniments:

A- General:

We call general accompaniments that we do not include in the specific projects carried out by the COF. These accompaniments will be carried out by the volunteer missionaries who have done the formations and it is valued that they can carry out an accompaniment, there will be collaborators who will be referred or consulted when necessary.

  • Individual: when only one family member is accompanied individually.

  • Family: when all or at least two members of the family are accompanied.

B- Specific:

We call specific accompaniments those in which there is a specific difficulty and a specific interest on the part of the person accompanied to participate in these projects.
